There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
This statement is anathema to a world that doesn’t believe it. But what strikes me this morning as I read it is how comforting it is to a believer - to me - otherwise overwhelmed by the weight of the world and of my need for salvation. I could be looking for solutions all over the place. And sometime it seems like salvation is on the line with every responsibility I fail at. It’s not. Salvation does not come that way. It came finally, fully, comprehensively and only through Jesus. I will find salvation no where else and in no one else, including and especially in myself. What a relief to know in whom it comes.
