We are so in love with Jesus Christ that our whole life is a response of worship and expression of His love.

Fellowship

We are a loving, caring group of people who truly enjoy one another and rely on God and celebrate God's glory and grace together.

Mission and Service

We are ready to share all that we have in our time, treasure and talents, and especially our greatest treasure, our faith in the glorious God of grace.  In the Friendship neighborhood, all around Pittsburgh and to the ends of the earth, we share.

Worship

We come together in a collective heartfelt satisfaction in the glory of God and a longing for it.  We bring our skills, talents and especially our hearts together to pour them out before God.

scheduled Events

...their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.

Psalm 19:4

We see the truth of God and ourselves most clearly through the lens of Scripture.  While it is not all easy to look at, ultimately, we come to the enormity of God's grace and love for us - we see the glory of God.

More than music; more than words.

John Piper wrote: "The essence of authentic, corporate worship is the collective experience of heartfelt satisfaction in the glory of God, or a trembling that we do not have it and a great longing for it."  (John Piper, God's Passion for His Glory, p. 40).

This truly characterizes worship at Fourth.  This is not a show meant for entertainment.  This is people responding to the glory of God with all their hearts.

Fourth Presbyterian Church has a beautiful, historic building in the lovely, urban neighborhood of Friendship in Pittsburgh's East Side.  Our early twentieth-century building provides a place both reverent for worship as well as relevant to the needs or our church body and the neighborhood.  Nearly every day of the week it houses gatherings for worship, study, and community functions including neighborhood groups, lessons and all sorts of activities. It is a legacy well over a century of bringing people together.
