Come Worship with Us.

What to Expect

Here are some answers to questions you might have before visiting us.

WHEN DO YOU MEET?

Our Worship Service begins at 11:30am on Sunday Morning.

HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE?

The service typically lasts one hour to one hour and 15 minutes.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

We begins with announcements, then a time of worship through songs.

We currently do not have a pastor on staff so we have guest speakers who bring a Bible based message from God’s Word. Our Elders lead the service.

We also have a brief time time of prayer and praise that the congregation can share if they wish.

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.

We conclude with a song and postlude.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

At Friendship Avenue Church, you’ll see people dressing casually in jeans and t-shirts or more formally in dresses and suits and ties.

There is no dress code or expectation. Your presence is more important to us than your attire.

HOW CAN I GET THERE?

By Car — Parking is freely available on the street. Most people park on Friendship Avenue, Roup Avenue, or S Graham Street in the Friendship neighborhood.

By Bus — Some folks come from Squirrel Hill via the 64 or the 71C. For folks coming from East Liberty, the 88 and 86 have stops near our church. Also, the 87 goes along Liberty Ave, which is a couple blocks from our building

DO YOU HAVE NURSERY CARE?

Volunteers can provide nursery care upon request at the11:30 Worship Service. If you have children, one of our members will be happy to assist you.

ARE YOU WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Our sanctuary can easily be reached via wheelchair. To visit the bathrooms, an individual must either wheel into the pastor’s office (front left of the sanctuary) or add a ramp up the 3 steps to the main bathrooms and fellowship hall (back left of sanctuary). Someone will be available to assist you if needed.
